We’re off again! - Monday 16 July, 2007
It’s that time of the year again where studioduplo pack their bags and get on a plane. Between us, we’ll be covering Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, Berlin, Beijing, Rome, Qingdao, London, Wuhan & Dubai to name but a few.
So, we’ll be off for a few months but once again returning with designs and photography themed on our travels. (see our previous Tokyo Trip for example). Come September, we’ll be re-branding as a Design & Advertising Agency rather than a studio, utlising our existing portfolio and client base but hopefully spreading our wings a bit more and offer services such as Animation and Website Design.
Meanwhile, occupy yourselves by taking part in studioduplo’s Taxi Project.

Pedicabs, Opus Underground, Subotica & Durham Arts Festival - Friday 27 April, 2007
Since we moved studios, we’ve been crazy busy with new clients through the door - too many to list in a single news post! Durham City is playing host to an arts festival this November featuring works from big names such as Damien Hirst and… studioduplo! We’re also doing all the branding and adwork for the festival.
There’s a new Pedicabs business in town (rikshaw taxis). We’re proud to announce that we’ll be doing all the branding for that as well and the first pedicab will feautre vinyl graphics exclusively designed by studioduplo. Details and pictures to follow.
Next week we’re on a top secret photoshoot with Steven Landles for a flyer design. Subotica, the client, have launched gigs with past headliners such as Pendulum, Hospital Records and the Fun Lovin’ Criminals.
Additonally, we’ve just been invited by Opus Underground to display our Neon Lights art series (previously held at fourstore) at their next exhibition in Newcastle.
Lastly, we’d like to welcome the newest member of the studioduplo design crew, Jamie. He just returned from working in China but, as a result of a flash of inspiration he decided to cycle to Thailand. Our kinda guy! His three favourite things are 1.) Apocalypse Now, 2.) Monolake and 3.) Chinese Women.
